Services in Helpfinder

Helpfinder includes organisations who’s primary function is to provide services to drug users. Services have been included regardless of their philosophy, approach or effectiveness. The database includes community and outpatient services and residential and in-patient services. Organisations from all sectors, voluntary, statutory and private, are included. DrugScope has endeavoured to include all drug treatment services in England and Wales. If your drug treatment service is not included and you would like it to be please contact us at info@drugscope.org.uk.

Services whose primary function is not to provide treatment and/or care to drug users are generally excluded, even if drug users form part of their client group – such as HIV and sexual health services.

We recommend that you telephone the organisation before visiting to confirm opening times.

Many services provide help for people with tranquilliser or prescribed drug problems and some provide help for solvent users.

All treatment providers are included regardless of whether they charge for their services. Most services are non-fee paying for the client as they are funded by Primary Care Trusts, local authorities, probation services, charitable sources or other funds.
