AllTreatment is a drug rehab directory and information resource for the US.

Stop the Drug War provides links to a variety of drug policy reform topics, including a tour of the 'war on drugs' and news bulletins and bolgs. Also includes policy documents and media articles and "the worlds largest online media library of drug policy".

Choose Help: US site offering a directory of private drug and alcohol rehabilitation programmes across the US.

Drug Rehab 101 is presented for adults and teens and contains information on drug abuse, drug treatment, and related issues gathered from various surveys and sources including the National Institutes of Health, SAMHSA, the White House, FDA and more.

Drug Rehab Centers Canada offers a referrals service and a comprehensive database of drug and alcohol treatment centes in Canada.

DrugAlert.org is a comprehensive database featuring information and news alerts about potentially dangerous prescription drugs currently on the market or previously available worldwide.

DrugSense is a campaign group for drug policy reform, includes news articles and a weekly newsletter, and provides a forum for debate.

Drugstory.org has been developed by the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign (for ONDCP) to present the latest drug-related information to entertainment writers and feature journalists. The site is designed to help writers quickly locate and research critical information on specific drugs and includes information on the effects of drugs, drugs and crime, prevention and treatment and statistics. A list of US-based experts is also provided.

Drugwatch.com includes information about prescription and over-the-counter medications and includes details about associated side effects, addictive potential etc.

DUI Foundation/ newyork/lawyer has been developed to educate on the dangers of drinking and driving. The site includes a legal guide, support programmes and research information.

Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, San Fransisco, gives health information on current drug issues, factsheets, a guide to their services and details of the Journal of Psychoactive Drugs.

Harm Reduction Coalition is a network functioning to support effective interventions, gives information on the organisation and its projects, and covers the principles of harm reduction, a newsletter and discussion pages.

Marijuana Addiction Support Group - a community of patients, family members and friends dedicated to dealing with Marijuana Addiction, together.

Methadone Support is an organisation offering online information and support for those on methadone.

MyAddiction is a comprehensive US resource on addiction, containing a blog, articles, treatment locator and more.

Narcotics Anonymous World Service includes information on materials and products for professionals.

National Drug Strategy Network(NDSN), based in the USA, but made up of individuals and organizations worldwide, works for effective approaches to drug related issues including strategies and treatments.

Opiate Addiction & Treatment Resource provides information on opioids, addiction/dependence, and available treatment options, as well as a directory of methadone clinics in the U.S. and Canada.

Phoenix House operates nationwide programs of prevention and education and more than 100 local treatment and prevention programs in nine US states.

NIDA for teens is an organisation that provides information to help fight teen drug abuse by prevention and intervention. They also have a support network.

The National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information(NCADI), provide an information service, customised searches, and a list of prevention materials.

All Positive Options is an American resource on addiction and recovery that is frequently updated.

Addiction Search is an addiction related research portal with over 750 links to research-based resources for health consumers, addiction treatment professionals, educators, and researchers.

Treatment 4 Addiction is a treatment center directory in the US which includes the SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) database, as well as private treatment centers, therapists and addiction professionals. The site also provides information through articles, videos and blogs on types of treatment, addictions, and mental health disorders.

Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network is a searchable database offering up-to-date information on generic and brand name medications used in drug treatment.

Association for Medical Education and Research in Substance Abuse(AMERSA), includes details of membership and the Association journal Substance Abuse.

Canadian Drug Policy Coalition is working toward the development of a sensible and humane way to regulate and control of psychotropic substances in Canada, as an alternative to the failed War on Drugs.

College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD), an organization of researchers aiming to provide scientifically based information on drugs to policy-makers and the public. The site includes research advances, factsheets, statements relating to policy and details of the journal, Drug and Alcohol Dependence.

Drug Policy Alliance, is the leading organization working to broaden the public debate on drug policy and to promote realistic alternatives to the war on drugs based on science, compassion, public health and human rights. The Alliance was formerly known as The Lindesmith Center - Drug Policy Foundation. The site provides access to a range of resources including the DPA Library database, a series of briefings and the Alliance's office of legal affairs.

The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse includes access to publications, newsletter, resources, databases, and speciality sites on youth, gambling, and the workplace.

Forensic Drug Abuse Advisor (FDAA) is the only monthly newsletter written
with the specific intent of keeping the reader up-to-date on the latest breaking scientific issues relating to drug testing and drug abuse.

The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies(MAPS), is a membership-based research and educational organisation focusing on the development of beneficial uses for psychedelic drugs and marijuana. Online newsletter, database, bibliography, links to other related research sites.

The RAND Corporation Drug Policy Research Center, includes a subject index and abstracts for publications on their site. Topics include drug policy and trends, national and international. Reports can be ordered online.

The Speed Project is a harm reduction program for gay/bi and heteroflexible men. The project has a magazine called SPEEDOMETER, hosts community forums, workshops, movie nights, and does outreach work.

Government:

Centers for Disease Control Atlanta, includes search engine, publications data and statistics.

Office of National Drug Control Policy(ONDCP), which establishes policies and objectives for the US drug control programme, covers US national policy, statistics, media campaigns and enforcement information.

Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator(SAMHSA) The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is an on-line resource for locating drug and alcohol abuse treatment programs in the USA.

The Drug Enforcement Agency includes, press releases, publications, demand reduction, statistics, and DEA fugitives.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse(NIDA), includes search facility, links to other sites, and information on drugs, publications, events and funding.
