This issue we get under the skin of the ‘recovery’ movement. In our Recovery Uncovered special issue we as questions such as: who started it, how does it help get people off drugs and how does ‘recovery’ play out in real life? We also lift the lid on the criminal aspect of the drug trade with a fantastic article by a British drug worker who has spent much time in Mexico’s financial hub Monterrey. He reports how the city has in the last five years become dominated by drug violence and its citizens scared to go outdoors.
