DrugScope's parliamentary work

All-Party Parliamentary Drugs Misuse Group:

DrugScope provides secretariat support for the All Party Parliamentary Drugs Misuse Group. The purpose of the group is 'to educate members of both Houses of Parliament and stimulate debate on issues surrounding drugs misuse.'

The Group meets every 6 to 8 weeks while Parliament is in session. At most meetings, guest speakers are invited to give a presentation to the members of the Group on a topic relevant to drugs misuse, followed by a Q&A session from members and non-Parliamentary delegates.

Details of the Officers of the Group and membership are available here.

If you have a professional interest in the field of drug misuse and are interested in knowing more about the Group, including details on arranging attendance for non-Parliamentary delegates, please contact Ruth Goldsmith on 020 7520 7559 or by email at ruthg@drugscope.org.uk

The All Party Parliamentary Drugs Misuse Group periodically undertakes public inquiries into matters relating to drugs misuse in society.
