Information: National Tackling Drugs Week is a key national platform on which local agencies can publicise their efforts to tackle drug issues. We want to increase public confidence in, and awareness of the work being done locally to respond to local drug priorities. This week will build upon the success and momentum generated by previous National Tackling Drugs Days. It's also a reflection of our commitment to respond to community concerns about drugs, which is a key element of the new Drug Strategy. Purpose of week: - Raise awareness of work undertaken by agencies (DAATs, CDRPs, Neighbourhood Policing teams and Police Forces)
- Tackle drugs and reduce drug-related crime in communities across the country
- Highlight the wide ranging activities and services available
The Home office would like as many local agencies around the country to take part. Contact: For more information please see: http://drugs.homeoffice.gov.uk/communications-and-campaigns/tackling-drugs/NationalTacklingDrugsWeek/
