Information: Timed to coincide with the publication of the Department of Health and the Home Office’s report into supermarket pricing of alcohol which is being carried out by Sheffield Hallam University, and the National Audit Office’s value for money study of health services for alcohol harm reduction, and following the Youth Alcohol Action Plan which was published in June this year, this seminar will examine the most important current issues related to the misuse of alcohol.
The meeting will bring key stakeholders together with policy makers from government and Parliament to discuss latest evidence on the health and social costs of excessive alcohol consumption, the impact of packaging and pricing on drinking habits, and the way forward for alcohol policy.
