Policy, Influence and Engagement Manager: Multiple Needs
£34,000 plus 6% pension contribution (Two year fixed-term contract)
DrugScope on behalf of the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) coalition is seeking to recruit a Policy, Influence and Engagement Manager with a focus on ‘multiple needs’, and responsibility for a major new initiative called ‘Voices from the Frontline’. This is an opportunity to play a lead role in a landmark project to bring the views and voices of disadvantaged people and those who support them into the policy debate, while providing specialist input on drug and alcohol issues. The initial focus will be on the topics of welfare reform and commissioning.
Neither previous experience of ‘multiple needs’ nor the drug and alcohol sector are essential, but the successful candidate will have a passion for improving policy and services for marginalised people and communities, the ability to develop policy and to influence change effectively, a commitment to service user and provider engagement, an interest in drug and alcohol issues and the ability to lead this programme of activity, working with policy specialists across the MEAM partner organisations (Clinks, DrugScope, Homeless Link and Mind).
Deadline for applications: 5.00 on Monday 28 April
